The Enforcers are for roll down auto windows. First, make sure your meter is functioning properly. Take a reference sample. Note the number on the sample. Slide the sample into the slot. If the meter reading is between two less and two more than expected, the meter’s all set. Take the sample out, and the Enforcer is ready to be used.
Take the Enforcer in one hand, then slide it over the window. The display shows the tint measurement. Remove the meter, and it automatically shuts off, saving battery life. And remember, never test your sunglasses with an Enforcer, or they’ll get stuck. Check your user manual first if you run into any problems.
How to use the Inspector II
The Inspectors and TM400 are for windshields and windows that do not roll down. First, make sure your meter is functioning properly. Take a reference sample. Note the number on the sample. With both meters connected, turn them on using the side switches. It should read 100. Separate them, LEAVING THE METERS ON, then place the reference sample between the meters. The reading is displayed on the front. If the measurement is between two less and two more than expected, the meter’s all set. Take the sample out. Your meter is ready to use.
Use the switches to activate the two meters, while they are together. The meter should read 100. Separate the two pieces, KEEPING THE METERS ON, place the back piece on one side of the window. Hold it there, or use the suction cup to keep it in place. Place the front piece on the opposite side of the glass, lining the two up. Magnets will keep them in place. Take the reading. Separate the pieces from the window. Put them back together and DON’T FORGET TO TURN THEM BOTH OFF to save battery life. Check your user manual first if you run into any problems.
